I was born into an alternative family, my mother is an artist and teacher and my father, a yoga teacher.
Some of my earliest memories are sitting next to my father and copying him as he practiced in our lounge room or hanging out in his yoga schools, playing amongst all the props. I grew up practicing gymnastics and dancing and yoga flowed in and out of my life. It wasn’t until my early twenties that I started to take my practice seriously and have been a committed student of yoga ever since.
I grew up in Iyengar yoga schools and practiced Iyengar yoga earlier on and over the last several years, I have practiced primarily Shadow Yoga.
I completed my YTT 200 hour in Vinyasa at Creature Yoga in Byron Bay with Tahl Rinsky, and Bess Prescott. I teach Vinyasa – a dynamic practice linking breath and movement. My classes have a particular focus on alignment and creating strength, stability and flexibility in both the body and mind. I also teach Foundations of Yoga and Intermediate General Yoga once a month. I believe that if we utilise our energies properly within our yoga practice and daily life, each of our movements and decisions will benefit us greatly.
